Host an Online Home Gathering with EZ Invite

I mentioned back in September that the Close To My Heart EZ Invite system was changing this month to make it possible for you to earn Hostess Rewards WITHOUT hosting an actual home gathering.  Well, effective immediately, the system is up and running and there is no time like the present to give you all the details.

As I mentioned, with the CTMH EZ Invite system, you no longer need to host a face-to-face home gathering to earn Hostess Rewards and with collected orders of just $175 you start qualifying.  Getting the online gathering process started is easy.  Just contact me and you'll be on your way to earning rewards in no time.

So How Does and EZ Invite Online Gathering Work?

Once I have started the process on my end, you'll receive an email with a link to access your CTMH EZ Invite Manager.  From here, you simply add the names and email addresses of the people you'd like to invite to shop and you're all set.  All orders placed through the EZ Invite system before the closing date the we've decided on will count towards your Hostess Rewards total.  Your virtual guests will have until 11:59pm on the closing date to participate.  Once the closing date has passed, I will contact you and let you know how much free product you've earned through Hostess Rewards.  You select your product and we're finished!  It's that easy.

The EZ Invite Manager will make it easy for you to send personalized, professional looking invitations, reminder messages and thank-you notes to your virtual guests.  You can also track the total of orders placed, and add/remove guests from the system at any time.  As a consultant, I cannot access your EZ Invite Manager, so you can rest assured that your guest's contact information as entered to this system is not shared with me.  Only when an order is placed is the information transferred to my database.

Orders placed via the Online Gathering system are processed and shipped as they are received.  This means that your guests do not have to wait until sometime after the closing date to receive their product. This is good news for them!  This is good news for you too - because regardless of when the order is placed, it will still count towards your qualifying totals for Hostess Rewards!

3rd Annual Crop For A Cause Wrap Up - 2010

I wanted to pop in and thank those of you that came out to support Titian Ministries International on Saturday at our Crop For A Cause event. Together we raised over $1300 that will assist the needy in Ghana.  Many scrappers that attended had been with us in years prior - but this year we also saw many new faces and had a total of 32 people in attendance.  Rosina's card class was a huge hit as always, and our layout contest winner took home the ever so handy 2.5 inch Xyron Sticker Maker, a very cool tool.  We had Julie from SassyScrapping.com on site with us all day too donating 10% of her sales back to Titian Ministries and we had a few people work through an interactive scrapbook layout session in the morning with all proceeds of the session being donated to the cause.

So, without further adieu, a BIG THANK YOU to you all.  This money will make a difference to the people of Ghana.

Sharing our Fancy Folds

I don't have an FAQ Friday for you today, but instead I thought I would share the full set of cards we made last night at the Fancy Folds card class.  We had 6 ladies here who got a crash course in creating a gift card holder, a Tri-Shutter Card and the ever-popular paper rose.

Here we go.

This is the Gift Card Holder - made with the Close To My Heart Silhouette paper pack, and black cardstock, the gift card holder is held closed with a simple knotted ribbon with a hanging tag.  The tag sentiment is from D1187 For Every Occasion.

The second card was a Tri-Shutter with a masculine feel and featured the retired "Vintage Father's Day" from CTMH as well as the current D1422 "Wonderful Friend"  The front focal image was stamped with Versamark and dusted with Pearl Ex. The image was then sealed with a Krylon Matte spray to prevent smudging and Pearl Ex transfer.  Honestly, if you know Pearl Ex at all, you'll probably also know that it doesn't photograph well.  There is so much shimmer and shine that you just can't capture in a photograph - it is absolutely stunning up close. Because this card is for a man, embellishments are kept to a minimum. I used waxed linen thread, a button, some brads and a hinge.  I also stitched a few x's using embroidery floss.  End panels are embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

Last but not least, here is the card featuring Tonya Dirk's paper rose.  I can't take credit for the card design, since the very talented Pam Klassen did it first and I lifted it. (Thanks Pam for letting me do this! The card was a big hit!)  We used the X5810 CTMH Cherry-O Creative Basics paper along with some distressed blush papers for the rose from retired Cocoa Cafe collection.  When Pam created her card she used Colonial White cardstock for the rose, sanded both sides and sponged tulip ink.  I tried this approach, but decided to go with the patterned paper instead since it's a bit easier to work with - and since it was distressed looking already - I didn't need to worry about that.  Isn't it awesome though that I was able to pull Blush paper from an older kit and it matched the new paper perfectly?  I just love that!  The rose is adhered to the card with glue dots and nests in a chipboard slide frame covered with paper.  I've had these slide frames kicking around for a while so it was nice to use them up on this project.  The stamp set we used was D1416 State of Mind

All in all, everyone was super pleased with what we created, and they learned a ton.  I do have a couple of class kits left over though so if you'd like to get your hands on one click the Buy Now button below.  Kits are $15 each and include the materials you'll need to put your cards together as shown (stamps, inks and Pearl Ex not included) and complete step-by-step assembly instructions.
